N. Hans Rechsteiner, MD
Hans Rechsteiner is a solo, independent, rural, general surgeon, practicing since 1982 for nearly 40 years in Spooner, Wisconsin. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is licensed in Minnesota and Wisconsin. His independence allows him the freedom to take care of his patients the way he was taught, with compassion and old-fashioned personal service.
He's interested in longevity and has done longevity research on mice since 2012. Each trial takes at least 2.5 years to complete, and he is currently finishing one that prolonged the lives of his mice by 50% over the controls.
He's written a book entitled How to Play College Football at 65. In the fall of 2017, at age 65, he played football at a small college in North Dakota, proving that the ideas in the book really do produce health and longevity.
His years of practice have allowed him to evaluate and appreciate his patients' needs and create solutions for their problems.
